Neil Thomas

Neil is an experienced teacher, senior leader, coach, facilitator and consultant, with over 19 years in education and leadership across the UK and internationally. As Co-Founder and Director of Strata Professional Development, he works with schools and businesses to deliver professional learning programmes and executive coaching for senior leaders.

Neil specialises in strengths-based, human-centred coaching and facilitation, supporting individuals and teams to grow their emotional intelligence, enhance wellbeing and lead with clarity and confidence. His sessions are known for creating reflective and psychologically safe spaces, while also encouraging participants to think deeply, challenge limiting beliefs and explore new perspectives.

He has delivered leadership development and coaching programmes for teachers, senior leaders, headteachers and business leaders, focusing on building self-awareness, sharpening decision-making and making lasting, values-led change.

Wellbeing is central to Neil’s work. Following a stage one testicular cancer diagnosis in 2019, and now seven years in remission, he is driven to help others find balance, purpose and fulfilment in both their professional and personal lives.
