Primary Teachers in KS1 and KS2.
This programme has been designed to provide practical and proven classroom strategies to enable pupils new to English or using English as an additional language to access the curriculum and make good progress.
Objectives
- To enable teachers to assess prior language knowledge and understanding in order to plan appropriate, differentiated activities for all learners.
- To explore classroom techniques and strategies to facilitate learning for all pupils new to English and using English as an additional language.
- To increase teachers’ confidence and expertise in planning and delivering, age-appropriate and engaging learning activities for pupils using EAL.
