Karen Ardley Associates are delighted to offer this blended learning programme as part of the COBIS Online CPD Calendar for spring 2021.

Effective feedback to students is one of the most impactful strategies to improve learning outcomes according to John Hattie’s Visible Learning Research. How can you ensure your approach to feedback and your student’s response to it has the desired effect?

In this module we will explore
• Principles and purposes of effective feedback to students
• Match those purposes to strategies in the virtual and in person classroom
• Consider the various levels of feedback that most benefit learners

Additional Information

This course will run for three hours over two sessions, plus additional online self-study:

Session 1: 2 February, 8.00-9.00 GMT
Session 2: 11 March, 8.00-10.00 GMT

Target Audience

This module is suitable for middle leader, leaders of professional learning and classroom teachers.

Delivery and Format

This programmes will use a blended approach of facilitated online discussion and online self-study using the KAA Online Learning Platform.

  • 1 hour pre-programme in facilitated group session – 2nd February 2021, 8am-9am UK time
  • Self- study online module which include film, audio and presentations
  • In school reflections, activities to support discussions and implementation
  • Facilitated group session to review progress and prepare for the next steps – 11th March 2021, 8am – 10am UK time

The facilitated sessions will be delivered using Zoom and the online self-study modules will be accessed via KAA Online Learning Platform.

KAA Presenter

Jayne Bennion

Jayne is an educator with experience and expertise as a teacher, school leader and senior adviser with schools in the UK and internationally. She has designed and facilitated a range of exceptional professional learning both online and in person and has a proven track record in making a positive and sustainable difference.
Jayne has successfully undertaken several high level roles including the Director of Quality Assurance with Nord Anglia Education, Founding Head of the Learning and Assessment Service in Birmingham and Curriculum Adviser with QCDA leading the development of the professional learning materials for the proposed primary national curriculum.
Her latest achievements include being commissioned to develop approaches to blended learning with Nord Anglia Education, writing and facilitating Initial Teacher Training materials in the UK with Star Academies and internationally with the Curriculum Foundation.
