Ruth is the Principal at The British School of Amsterdam and is a seasoned educator with almost three decades of international experience, having worked in diverse educational settings in the UK, Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea, Qatar and The Netherlands. Her career has been marked by a deep passion for educational leadership and a commitment to fostering inclusive, high-performing teams. Throughout her journey, Ruth has held key positions in leading international schools, where she has consistently demonstrated her ability to build teams, drive curriculum innovation and enhance student outcomes. Her expertise in developing and implementing strategic initiatives has been instrumental in promoting academic and pastoral excellence and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement. Ruth’s approach to leadership is characterised by a strong emphasis on team dynamics, recognising the power of collaborative efforts in achieving educational goals. Her ability to inspire and guide educators, coupled with her approach to individual and team development and innovative strategic planning and implementation, has made a lasting impact on the schools and communities she has served. Ruth has an MBA in International Education and is a founding member of the TES Institute International Advisory Board. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, playing board games, and trying out new recipes. |
