What works? Evidence based practice
This Module has been designed for classroom teachers and leaders working in both primary and secondary schools. As teachers and leaders, we are constantly looking for new, innovative strategies and approaches to improve teaching and learning yet we want to be certain that what we implement increases the impact in the classroom.
In this module we will explore how to be critical of the evidence and consider how it can be adapted and translated into classroom practice taking into account the different cultures and contexts of our own schools and classrooms.
The objectives of this module on ‘what works? – Evidence based practice’
- Develop an increased awareness of the current profile of educational research
- Explore how educational research can be translated into classroom practice to facilitate change
- Provide evidence informed strategies that can have a positive impact upon pupils’ progress
