Governing for Impact
This module on Governing for Impact has been designed to support your role in school governance as a new governor or to enable experienced governors to reflect on their role and look to develop the effectiveness of the Board.
The module will explore the knowledge, skills and behaviours governors need to fulfil their core functions. Using interactive activities and reflection tools, you will be able to identify your next steps to increase your effectiveness.

- To inform governors about their responsibilities as leaders of an educational organisation
- To understand the role of governors
- To determine your legal and moral responsibilities
- To agree what constitutes an effective team.
