Who We Work With
COBIS is a Membership Association of British Schools of quality and is a member of the Independent Schools Council (ISC) of the United Kingdom. By virtue of this and its agreement with the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), it is able to accredit British Schools abroad, anywhere in the world.
The current mission statement of COBIS includes the following as its main objectives:
- Quality assurance in member schools.
- Representation with the British Government, with educational bodies and with the corporate sector.
- A forum for discussion through conferences, seminars and continuing professional development..
- A network of support through contacts, consultancies, information and marketing.
FOBISIA is a regional federation of the leading British international schools in Asia.
KAA is an Affiliate member of FOBISIA and will be actively participating in the Annual Leadership Conference, where the theme this year will be “Activating Leadership”

Many of our programme participants use their learning from KAA Leadership Programmes to further their study and careers.
We have created an identified progression route from our leadership programmes to the part time distance-learning Masters Programmes offered at the University of Bath.
Having successfully completed one of our leadership programmes we will connect you with staff at the University of Bath who will help you get started with further study at Masters level.

At KAA we recognise the importance of accredited pathways for leaders and managers.
We have established a partnership with the Chartered Management Institute and TFLeducation to provide an exciting opportunity for leaders at all levels to become members of CMI.

Through our partnership with Leeds Trinity University, KAA can provide preparation for and assessment of Higher Level Teaching Assistant status.
As a partnership KAA and LTU work internationally and in UK to award the HLTA status.

Karen Ardley Associates work in partnership with Community First Multi-Academy Trust (CFAT), Wigan, to provide high quality professional learning programmes.
Outstanding leaders and classroom practitioners from CFAT schools facilitate KAA programmes.
In addition KAA programmes are hosted by the Westbridge Teaching School, on a regular basis.
UNRWA (the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) provides assistance, protection and advocacy for some 5 million registered Palestine refugees in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and the occupied Palestinian territory, pending a solution to their plight.
UNRWA is funded almost entirely by voluntary contributions from UN member states.
UNRWA is the main provider of basic services – education, health, relief and social services – to 5 million registered Palestine refugees in the Middle East.
